New signature artists, and a new basic line of Omen basses are brought by tireless Schecter`s craftsmen for 2012.
Schecter Guitar Research luthiers have prepared two brand new signature models and four Omen basses to reinforce the basic lines with four and five-stringers in black and walnut satin. Dale Stewart of post-grunge giants Seether and The Cure`s Simon Gallup are new members of the Schecter signature artist family. For Dale, Schecter prepared a Dale Stewart Avenger Bass and for Simon, a mighty Simon Gallup Ultra Bass. The signatures bring top shelf materials and features, custom paint jobs and inlays. On the other side, at Omen camp, things look more unified and defined as Omen-4 2012, Omen-4 2012 Left Handed, Omen-5 and Omen-5 Left Handed head out to the battlefield in a synchronized march.
Schecter Omen-4 2012 and Schecter Omen-4 2012 Left Handed represent the new basic models of the Omen bass line made just in time for NAMM 2012. They bring solid basswood bodies in black gloss and walnut satin colors. Maple necks and rosewood fingerboards round off the tone wood roster. All of the hardware is made by Schecter and plated in black chrome. Omen is characterized by carved tops, aggressive cutaways and bolted necks. All of these features are kept for 2012 models, as the line still aims for young players who look for a solid and trusty options which fo not cost a small fortune. Schecter Omen-5 2012 and Schecter Omen-5 2012 Left Handed advance as extended range alternatives for young metal players. As all five-stringers from Schecter, these also take up after their four stringed brothers, but have 35" scales instead of 34. Other than that, they pretty accurately follow the specs laid out for the entire series. carved basswood bodies, Maple necks with bolted joints and rosewood fingerboards are materials of which these models are made. Bridges, pickups, electronics and tuning machines come from Schecter`s own workshops. Schecter Dale Stewart Avenger Bass is one of two novelties in the signature artist line. The Avenger bass made for Dale is a solid bodied four-stringer made of mahogany body and maple neck. A combo which brings unprecedented tonal versatility. The neck has a set-in joint with an ultra access cutaway similar to the ones up-scale Schecter electric guitars have. Schecter Simon Gallup Ultra Bass is Made for The Cure`s bassist, Simon Gallup and it represents the second and final addition to the line of signatures in bass segment of the catalog. Regular Ultra Bass was taken as a starting point and from there premier features were added. Neck-through construction, EMG TBHZ passive soapbar pickups and Grover tuners represent only the technical half of the upgrades. Aesthetic side enlists custom top graphic and custom position inlays on 22 medium fret rosewood fingerboard.
