New Flying V Tremolo by Gibson

Gibson update the legendary Flying V with a Floyd Rose tremolo system to give it an even sharper edge and bigger attitude.

Back in 1958 Gibson shook the foundations of guitar world with its Modernist series and gave us the icons of heavy rock and metal music, the Explorer and Flying V. 53 glorious years later, Flying V runs stronger than ever, now powered up with a Floyd Rose tremolo system.

Gibson Flying V Tremolo is packed with high-output humbucking pickups and the most advanced tremolo system available for the ever more demanding musicians of today. All this is wrapped with marvelous craftsmanship, unmatched playability and reliability and from-out-of-this-world stunning looks. This Flying V rebel comes in beautiful Classic White high gloss nitrocellulose finish.

This guitar is where future meets tradition. Although it`s an instrument for a 21 century metalhead, the Gibson Flying V Tremolo comes with Gibson`s finest traditional selection of tone woods. Body is made out of solid mahogany in combination with a quarter sawn set-in mahogany neck for warm, rich sound, great sustain and durability. Neck is topped with a dark Obeche fingerboard with a fast, sleak, comfortable feel. Fingerboard has 22 frets with dot inlays. The neck is shaped as a mix of `50s rounded shape and Gibson`s Slim Taper profile, with .800" depth at the first fret, and .850" at the 12th.

The hardware section is the one to look at when searching for the updates. The finest available Floyd Rose tremolo is mounted on the top of this Flying V and its paired with a locking nut, providing the unparalleled tuning stability. It can take anything from the slightest vibrato to a deep divebomb.

Gibson Flying V Tremolo has a lion`s roar thanks to the high-gain ceramic Gibson USA pickups: 496R in the neck and 500T in the bridge. Neck pickup gives the clear and creamy tone, while the bad boy in the bridge provides everything from heavy rhythm crunch to wailing leads with bucket-loads of sustain and power. These bad boys deliver a full package for a modern day metalhead, they can give sheer brutal power, as well as all the finesse and sweet sound when needed. Control options consist of a master tone, master volume and a three-way toggle switch.

Other features include 12" fingerboard radius, 1.7" nut width, Grover Kidney Button tuners with 14:1 gear ratio, chrome hardware, ten gauge genuine Gibson strings and it comes with a hardshell case.

Flying V Tremolo is where tradition meets the future. And judging by this beast, the future looks brighter than ever. A super hot looking killing machine for today`s shredders and metalheads.
