Les Paul Junior which started out with a single P-90 pickup has always been a favorite of blues, garage rock and punk guitarists. But most of them modded the original and put various humbucker pickups to get heavier and creamier tone. Les Paul Special Humbucker bridges this historical gap and brings dual humbucker pickups in a stripped down flat top solid colored package. Pure performance features and no nonsense design propel this workhorse to staggering heights and enable the player to roam free and wild off the beaten paths and free of any ties.

With Les Paul Special Humbucker it`s all about the walk with only necessary amount of talk, so the solid flat top mahogany body with a single cutaway, back side belly scarf and solid paint job comprise the list of body features. Upon the flat top, the sturdy and utterly reliable wrap-around bridge commands the tuning and sustain with the iron fist. 498T in the bridge and 490R at the neck position have Alnico II magnets with extra wiring for the hot rodded sound. Melody Maker started off back in 1959 and has been the guitar of choice for all the players who did not have enough money for the up-scale Gibsons, but wanted their quality. Modifications and upgrades were very often employed by the owners of the Melody maker guitars in order to get closer to the more expensive Gibsons.
