Precision Bass can be found on countless defining recordings and has been played by almost every bass player over last six decades. For 2012 edition of Fender`s catalog, Precision Bass line was added a brand new outfit. It is called American Standard Hand Stained Ash Precision Bass, and it rocks. It is another in series of Fender models with hand stained ash treatment which includes ash body and lacquer satin body finish. With this one and many more models to come Precision`s future looks as bright as it`s glorious past.

Fender American Standard Hand Stained Ash Precision Bass comes with an ash body in combination with a maple neck. The body is flat and equipped with a three-ply plastic fingerboard. Wine red and mahogany stain are color options assigned to this Precision, and they both come with hand stained treatment. There`s only one P pickup in the middle position and it comes with master tone and master volume control knobs. Vintage High Mass bridge sports four saddles and chrome plating. There`s a choice between top-load or through-body construction. C shaped neck is bolted to the body with a four-bolt joint. Both rosewood and maple fingerboards feature 22 medium jumbo frets with dot inlays.
