Fender`s Blacktop department has been very busy last few months as they unveil Blacktop Telecaster Baritone, Blacktop Stratocaster HSH and Blacktop Jaguar 90 at NAMM2012.
NAMM is the show of all shows and the entire industry is tuned to represent it`s best and hottest models right there, where it counts the most. Fender unveils three new models for the blacktop series for 2012. The blacktop is a line of models oriented towards the 21st century and it`s modern rock music. Young players demand more and better all the time and something had to be done. Where vintage styled and vintage voiced models stopped, modern, fresh and strong Blacktops carried on. Today we get to feast our eyes on these novelties: Fender Blacktop Telecaster Baritone, Fender Blacktop Stratocaster HSH and Fender Blacktop Jaguar 90.
Fender Blacktop Telecaster Baritone is a brave and bold statement that Fender models can and will carry the banner of rock`n`roll into the 21st century. This 27" scale monster is unleashed for the NAMM 2012 Show and it brings a solid, single cutaway body made of alder. It is, as all previous Telecasters, a flat top model. It is available in two color options, the ghost silver with rosewood fingerboard and classic copper with rosewood fingerboard, both finished in polyester gloss. Hardtail bridge is paired with string-through construction, H-S-S pickup combo gives this downtuned beast blood freezing roar. Maple neck has a c contour, bolt-on joint and a rosewood fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets. The MSRP is set at $739.99. Fender Blacktop Stratocaster HSH is one of the most powerful Strats ever with it`s three pickups and 22 medium jumbo frets. The vintage styled synchronized tremolo bridge is paired with a string-through construction for the ultimate sustain. The classic double cutaway shape is paired with a flat top and made of alder. It is finished in polyester gloss. The neck is made of maple and has a traditional c shape with a bolt-on joint. This is one lean and mean Strat made for those bold enough to try and harness it`s power. It is available in black and titanium silver color options. This model will be featured at the NAMM 2012. Fender Blacktop Jaguar 90 is the third and final novelty for now. It is a mellower version of already famous Blacktop Jaguar HH and it comes with two P-90 pickups, 22 medium jumbo frets and Jaguar`s standard 24" scale. These P-90s are controlled through master tone, master volume and three-way toggle switch. The body of this Jag is made of alder and it is a flat top double cutaway model. The neck is made of maple with a c contour and bolt-on joint. The rosewood fingerboard is equipped with 22 medium jumbo frets and dot inlays. It comes in 2 tone sunburst and classic copper color options, both finished in polyester gloss. This Blacktop will be presented at NAMM 2012.
