In collaboration with Disney Pixar, Cordoba has unveiled a three-piece series of short-scaled nylon-stringers, inspired by the film Coco and targeted primarily at kids and teens.
Popular films and TV shows have always been a part of the guitar world, either as inspiration for the songs or as significant parts of musicians` lives. They`ve helped shape the musicians` perception of the world and creativity, giving them an even broader base to draw from. Many of the protagonists and villains have been lauded and sung about in countless songs. Some of them have even appeared on the instruments or the instruments were named after them. Coco is the latest Disney Pixar`s full-length effort and an amazing story about family, tradition, dreams and passion. Cordoba has, in collaboration with the studio, released a three-piece series based on the film. All three models are short-scaled, fully acoustic and super-affordable. Coco Guitar is the main model, coming in with 7/8 scale (24-3/4”) and $239 price tag. Coco Mini SP and Coco Mini MH sport the 22-4/5” scale and cost $189. Cordoba Coco Guitar is the flagship of the Coco series. It is made in 7/8 scale, with non-cutaway classical body, glued-in neck, 20-fret fingerboard, nylon strings, and laser-etched Coco graphics on the spruce top. Cordoba Coco Mini SP has the same exact design and materials as the Coco Guitar, only smaller. Instead of the 24-3/4” scale, SP rocks the 22-4/5” one, which is perfect for kids who are just starting out. Cordoba Coco Mini MH has an all-mahogany body, instead of the mahogany/spruce combo featured on the other two models. Laser-etched Coco graphic, 19-fret fingerboard, composite bridge, and die-cast tuners are among the highlights of this little six-stringer.
