Acoustic Collection`s Rancher guitars are new acoustic and acoustic-electric model made by Gretsch Guitars for the new 2012 season.

Though the holiday season is just behind us and it is still the beginning of the year, no one in the business can afford to slip a day or miss a chance, `cause everything counts. Gretsch Guitars luthiers worked hard and now they bring us a brand new Rancher line of guitars. The line is made up of five acoustic and acoustic-electric guitars ranging from $360 to $700. The line consists of following acoustic-electric guitars: G5012CE Rancher Jr and G5022CE Rancher Jumbo Cutaway Electric. Acoustic models are: G3800 Rancher Orchestra, G3500 Rancher Folk and G5034 Rancher Dreadnought.

Gretsch G5022CE Rancher Jumbo Cutaway Electric is a premier model of the series with the MSRP set at $700. This model offers laminated flame maple back and sides with a solid spruce top in combination with mahogany neck. The top of this model is flat and bound in black, also there is a tortoise pickguard. As on all Rancher models, sound hole has a characteristic triangular shape. The electronics are provided by Fishman with the Isys pickup and a preamp with a side-mounted control panel. The fingerboard is made of rosewood and equipped with 21 frets and neo-classic thumbnail inlays. Gretsch G5013CE Rancher Jr is the second and last acoustic-electric model for the current series` lineup. The venetian cutaway body is made of laminated mahogany back and sides and laminated spruce top. All of the components, except the electronics, are made by Gretsch. The electronics are provided by Fishman. Under-saddle piezo and preamp with side-mounted control panel are in charge of Junior`s amplification. Gretsch G3800 Rancher Orchestra is an orchestra shaped option of the Rancher series and it comes in the lower portion of the series. This one is fully acoustic and features no cutaways. All body tonewoods are laminated with neck, bridge and fingerboard being solid. Rosewood bridge has a compensated saddle and the rosewood fingerboard is equipped with 21 frets and dot inlays. Gretsch G3800 Rancher Orchestra

Gretsch G3500 Folk comes as a non-cutaway and fully acoustic guitar. It is also the entry level model in the Rancher series with the MSRP being set at only $360. G3500 is made of laminated mahogany back and sides and laminated spruce top. Mahogany neck and rosewood-made fingerboard and bridge are solid. The flat top on this guitar features a tortoise pickguard and a hallmark sound hole with a triangular shape. 21 frets, dot inlays, die-cast tuners and polyester-gloss finish sum it up for this guitar. Dreadnought option for the Rancher series is covered by the Gretsch G5034 Rancher Dreadnought model. It is a fully acoustic instrument with no pickups, preamps or mics built on, or inside the body. Laminated tonewoods comprise the body, while the solid ones make the bridge, neck and fingerboard. Tortoise pickguard with Gretsch logo, triangular sound hole and thumbnail position inlays unmistakeably denote a Rancher model.
