2018 PRS SE Lineup

PRS unveils the 2018 SE series models.

2018 PRS SE Lineup

The new SE models offer the brand`s traditional values, classy styling, and amazing tone, continuing the legacy of Paul Reed Smith Guitars.

Back in the early 1980`s Paul Reed Smith started off with a small shop, building guitars to order. The brand kicked off in 1985 with the legendary Custom 24, the most important double-cut guitar with 25” scale ever built. 32 years later, Custom 24 still remains the mainstay of the brand, being available in multitude of variants across the catalog. The new 2018 SE series lineup is nine models strong, with the majority belonging to the Custom/Standard 24 family. Also, there are Standard 22 models and a couple of short-scaled 245s. Two signature models, as well one Core series 24 have joined the lineup. The non-signature SEs are SE Standard 24 Multi-Foil, SE SVN, SE Custom 24 Spalted Maple, SE Custom 24 Zebrawood, SE Custom 24 Lefty, SE Standard 24, and SE Standard 245. The signature division includes SE Chris Robertson and SE Santana Standard. The only Core series model introduced along with the SEs is Custom 24-08.

PRS SE Standard 24 Multi-Foil is the most colorful model of the new SE Series lineup. It sports several finishes layered over each other to create the unique color scheme. Under the hood, it is the regular SE Standard 24, with a mahogany body, set-in maple neck, PRS pickups, and PRS-Designed tuners. PRS SE Chris Robertson Is one of two short-scaled 245 models featured in the new SE lineup. Also, it is one of two signatures introduced this time (the other being Santana Standard).
