Yamaha`s catalog of stringed instruments is one of the biggest in the industry. It contains numerous series and models of both acoustic and electric guitars and basses. Yamaha`s stringed instruments catalog is only a part of the general music instruments catalog, which in turn is only one of many segments of Yamaha`s production. For 2013, stringed instruments division has unveiled a lot of new models, of which, one is Pacifica 611VFM. This Strat-like six-stringer is oriented towards rock and fusion players, though it can be used for blues, jazz and hard rock to some extent. Metal isn`t what Yamaha had in mind for this double-cut. It comes with an alder body with a flame maple top. This combination is among the most common ones in the industry. On it`s top, Yamaha installs a Wilkinson tremolo bridge with string-through construction. In it`s front, there`s a pair of Seymour Duncan pickups. TB-14 is in the bridge, while the SP90 is in the neck. Master volume, master tone with push-pull switch and three-position blade switch comprise the controls unit. Bolt-on maple neck is topped with a 22-fret fingerboard made of rosewood. Headstock is equipped with a set of six Grover tuners with chrome plating.
