X 50 PRO Deluxe is the flagship model of the X series. Washburn has dedicated this series of double-cut guitars to metal and hard rock guitarists. Generally, most of the models of this series feature carved top bodies, bolted necks, 24-fret fingerboards and dual humbucker combos. X 50PRO Deluxe comes with a solid, double-cut body made of mahogany back and flamed maple top. Top is carved and bound in creme binding. Transparent Black, Transparent Red and Cognac Quilt are color options assigned to this outstanding axe. Tune-o-matic bridge is alone in the bridge section and it`s fronted by a pair of active EMG humbuckers. Neck is set in and made of mahogany. It has V contour in the back and 24-fret rosewood fingerboard on top.

I have both the X50q and the X50profe(EMG 81/85 set). Both lovely 24-fret set necks, ideal weight and balance and absolutely sweet to play. Fixed bridges stay in tune well (although I have the impression that the bridge of the X50profe is somewhat a bit lower quality but ... ok. The Grover tuners are very good. The set up was average, everything was in perfect shape and condition. I never gig without a backup, nut this guitar has written quality all over it! Here in Greece everything is more expensive. Anyway, both my X50's are good instruments, with quality in a good price. I think the older one (the Korean X50q) is better than the newer (Indonesian X50profe). Only bad thing about Washburns is their low re-selling price, although they are very good instruments. The headstock is weird, but it gives a more modern look to the old fashioned body and hardware. I put DiMarzio ToneZones in the X50q, very warm and loud, also did parallel-series to the bridge ToneZone, using the already existing tone push-pull pot (nice touch from the factory!)
