PXL10 is one of two models in the PXL series of the Parallaxe Guitars catalog. Parallaxe is a sub-brand of Washburn Guitars, launched to put Washburn back on the map in the metal guitars segment of the market. In recent years, some of the American and Japanese brands have taken over the portion of market dedicated to metalheads and Washburn is launching the Parallaxe to reclaim their positions. Three series make up the initial lineup of the Parallaxe. PXS and PXM series deal with double-cut guitars, while the PXL offers single-cuts based on Washburn`s Idol series. A total of thirteen models, which make up these three series, will be launched at this year`s Musikmesse in Frankfurt, Germany. PXL10 is a solid, single-cut guitar made of mahogany back and quilt maple top. This one comes with three different color options: Walnut Stain, Wine Red and Black. All are finished in gloss and matched with black hardware. Bridge section on this model is made up of a lone tune-o-matic bridge with string-through construction. In the front, Parallaxe installes Seymour Duncan JB in the bridge and '59 in the neck position. Neck is made of mahogany and it`s set in. 24 super-jumbo frets with custom 12th fret inlay are featured on a standard ebony fingerboard. Buzz Feiten tuning system, Grover tuners and 24-3/4" scale complete this model`s specs.
