N series is Nuno Bettencourt`s signature line made by Washburn Guitars. Their long time collaborations has given birth to some of the most under rated signature guitars in history of music. axes proudly wearing the N badge might be less flashy and less "in your face" but they deliver the tone, playability and construction quality that are down to none. Every experienced player who has outgrown the "badass" phase and "killer" and "aggressive" design will know how to appreciate these solid-bodied marvels. N7 is a brand new addition to the series and is based on the same formula that has been used for the bulk of six-stringed models in the past. It comes with a solid and double-cut body with flat-top design and bolt-on neck construction. It lacks binding, flashy pickguards, carved tops and color schemes. Simple and tonally beneficial natural matte finish guarantees the maximum tone, as the wood of the body is allowed to breathe freely. On the top, Washburn installs the series standard Floyd Rose bridge, now with seven saddles and standard chrome plating. In it`s front, there are two humbuckers. A pair of passive Seymour Duncans with extended range gives pretty much a player can ask for. Everything from the subtle clean intros and melodies to driving rhythm and soaring solos is there. Controls unit is a very basic one, it`s made up of a volume knob and a three-way toggle pickup switch. Neck is made of maple, which is almost a compulsory feature on alder-bodied guitars. It is bolted to the body and features a slim and fast contour in the back. On it`s top, there is a 22-fret fingerboard made of rosewood. Dot inlays and a locking nut complete the fingerboard.
