Traveler is one of the most famous and prominent brands of travel-sized guitars and basses. Few years back, Traveler catalog contained only Ultra Light, Speedster and Escape guitars, while today the catalog is expanding to embrace travel-sized basses, acoustics and a wider choice of electric guitars, as well. One of the models introduced for 2014 is the black-clad Ultra Light. It comes with a standard body made of maple (east American hard maple). Black is the only color scheme for this model. It`s finished in black and contrasted with chrome-plated hardware. On the top, Ultra Light features a fixed bridge with a concealed piezo pickup under the saddle. There`s also a preamp installed along with the pickup which allows the player to plug the headphones in and have a very quiet practice or jam session. Hard maple neck is fit with a standard contour in the back and an ebonized rosewood fingerboard on the top. It has 22 medium-sized frets and dot inlays.
