Paul Masvidal, best known as the former guitarist of Cynic (a progressive metal band from Miami, Florida), is also the most prominent signature artist of Strandberg Guitars. His line consists of several Boden models and one Varberg. Masvidalien, the custom shop model, is the Varberg-shaped member of Masvidal`s signature line.
Masvidalien rocks a double-cut body, made of mahogany base, chambered alder middle layer and flamed maple top. The sandwich body is paired with a five-piece neck (three stripes of birdseye maple and two stripes of carbon fibers) through a modern bolt-on joint. 24-fret birdseye maple fingerboard with custom designed inlays and string lockers tops the neck. EMG Metalworks 57/66 combo fills the bridge and neck positions, delivering a supremely versatile tone. Strandberg tremolo bridge completes this six-stringed beast.
