Vintage Modified series in Squier catalog has a very interesting concept, it combines some of the most popular vintage appointments and features with elements of modern design and construction. Thus far, this series has proven itself as one of the most popular and most important lines in the Squier catalog. For summer 2013, Squier introduces two models into it`s ranks and Vintage Modified Cabronita Telecaster is one of them. Offered only in the classic Black with gloss finish and chrome hardware, this is the most affordable Telecaster with Cabronita badge ever made. It comes with a solid and single-cut body with flat top and bolted neck joint. On it`s top, there`s a hardtail bridge with string-through construction and six adjustable saddles. In it`s front, there are two Fidelitron humbucker pickups. Controls unit for these pickups consists of a master volume knob and a three-way toggle pickup switch. Classic white Cabronita pickguard is also featured on the top. Neck on this model is made of maple and it features the modern C contour in the back. On it`s top, Squier installs a 22-fret fingerboard made of maple. Medium jumbo frets, 9.50" radius and black dot inlays complete the fingerboard.

I bought this guitar for $275.00 total. I bought it as a stop-gap until Christmas when my wife is going to allow me to purchase a PRS 513. I really was not expecting much but Holy Crap this thing is killer. The build quality is at least as good as the American series by Fender. The frets are perfect, the sound is bright and clear, and the play-ability is second to none. I bought it not expecting to like it too much, but find my self not wanting to put it down. It has got to be the best value among all guitars. It appears as though Squier have really upped their game and are giving other guitar companies a run for their money including Fender.
