Blackjack SLS is a relatively new series in Schecter catalog. It encompasses Blackjack models with mahogany bodies and maple necks. Also, Seymour Duncan pickups are the series standard. For 2013 Schecter is checking the market for high-performance seven-stringed V guitars. Two models are being launched and SLS V-7 FR is one of them. It comes with a solid, flat V-shaped body made of mahogany back and flamed maple top. Top is bound in black binding and finished in high gloss. Crimson Red Burst is the only color scheme assigned for this model. Construction-wise, this model has ultra access heel and set in neck joint. Pickups are Seymour Duncan Active Blackouts made for seven-stringed guitars. They come with two volume knobs, one tone and a three-way toggle pickup switch. Push-pull switches allow the coils to be split, thus adding versatility and subtlety to the list of tonal options. Bridge is a seven-string variant of the Floyd Rose 1000 bridge. It is paired with a locking nut on the opposite side of the 26-1/2" scale. Neck is made of three pieces of maple and it`s topped with a 24-fret ebony fingerboard. Tuners on the headstock are Grover.
