Special Edition series are a great opportunity for the brands and guitar builders to test models and explore the market. Models in these series usually do not remain in it for long, they`re either moved to regular series, or removed from the catalog and production lines. Design and construction-wise, models may vary a great deal when compared to their base models. For 2013 Schecter Guitars have introduced ten new Special Edition guitars and ATX Solo 7 is one of them. It is a solid-bodied, double-cut guitar made completely of mahogany. Both the base and carved top are made of mahogany. Body of this model is bound in aged creme binding and finished in satin. Black is the only color scheme available for this seven-string axe. Bridge section is a simple one, it features a tune-o-matic bridge with string-through-body construction in the back. Pickups are Seymour Duncan`s seven-string Blackouts. Two volume and one tone knob comprise the controls unit. Neck is made of mahogany and it features the standard back contour. It is made of three pieces of mahogany and it is topped with a 24-fret ebony fingerboard. 12th fret "Active" inlay and creme binding complete the fingerboard. Tuners on the headstock are Schecter.
