Contessa comes from the Carved Jazz artist series made by Peerless. It is a standard archtop jazz guitar with a single cutaway body. Traditionally, it features a set-in neck, elevated pickguard and only one minibucker pickup in the neck position. This pickup is controlled through a master volume knob integrated within the ebony pickguard. The set-in neck is made of maple and it sports a Peerless standard C contour. It is topped with an ebony fingerboard which features 20 frets, custom 12th fret inlay made of abalone, 15-3/4" radius and 1.69" wide bone nut. Body is made of laminated flamed maple back and sides and solid spruce top. The top is carved with a pair of bound "f" holes. Grover tuners and a combo of gold and ebony hardware completes the specs.
