SC245 is one exquisite single-cut guitar, which is being revitalized for the upcoming 2013 NAMM Show. Previous incarnation has been around for several years and it left a big mark in the catalog. Thus, it cannot just be removed from the production lines. PRS introduces its heir this January with a list of specs and appointments which promise superb tone and playability, along with PRS signature build quality. This model belongs to the solid body line of electric guitars and it`s one of the finest single-cuts ever made by PRS. SC 245 2013 comes with a solid body made of mahogany back and flamed maple top. Top panel has no binding around the edges and has no pickguard. PRS traditionally does not use these features on their standard models. Carved top is available in a multitude of color schemes. Bridge section is made up of a tune-o-matic bridge with stoptail bar in the back and nickel plating. 57/08 active humbuckers feature a standard controls option. Set neck is made of mahogany and it features a super comfortable pattern contour in the back. On the top PRS installs a 22-fret fingerboard made of rosewood. 24-1/2" scale, PRS tuners and nickel-plated hardware finish the list of features.
