David Grissom and PRS Guitars have long lasting and very fruitful relationship. Thus far PRS DGT was the only model in David`s signature line, but for the fall of 2012 PRS issues a special limited edition of all-mahogany DGT Standard model. This guitar is almost completely identical to the DGT model, with the difference being body made only of mahogany. It comes with a standard double cutaway and carved top. Body on this one is solid and gives fantastic tone thanks to the masterful craftsmanship and high grade mahogany PRS uses. As it is customary for a majority of PRS models, this one also comes with a very wide color palette. All of these variants are finished in high gloss. Bridge section includes a PRS-made tremolo bridge system with string-through construction. By default hardware is plated in nickel, though other kinds of plating can be ordered. Also plated in nickel, PRS tuning machines sit on the headstock. They are arranged in classic three-a-side pattern. Pickups are active humbuckers in both the bridge and neck positions. Separate volume knobs, master tone with push/pull switch for coil splitting and three-way toggle pickup switch comprise the controls unit. Mahogany-made neck features DGT contour and set-in joint. It is topped with a rosewood fingerboard with 22 jumbo frets. Inlays are moon, but fingerboard can alternatively be ordered with birds inlays. Scale is standard 25" long.
