PRS 408 is a guitar of simple name and many, many uses. Its main selling point, apart from being an exclusive guitar made by none other than PRS, is its custom developed electronics system. Solid body with a carved top, set neck, 25" scale and PRS hardware are also among the main features of the majestic 408. 408 kicks off with a solid and double-cut mahogany body with a hallmark flamed maple cap on top. Mahogany neck with thin Pattern profile is glued to the body. On its top, there is a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard. 408 Treble (wider than regular humbucker) and 408 Bass (thinner than regular humbucker) comprise the pickups combo. They come with a basic set of controls (volume, tone, 3-way switch) and a pair of mode switches, one for each pickup (full humbucker, tapped humbucker and full single-coil modes are available). PRS`s patent trem bridge and Phase III locking tuners complete the specs.
