Music Man`s Sabre models havethe straight forward approach to both styling and tone. They look very much like the cross between Stratocaster and Precision bass. Equipped with 25-1/2" scales and six strings, these axes speak mainly blues and rock. Sabre II comes with a solid, double-cut body made of alder. It is flat on top and equipped with a bolt-on joint. Sabre II comes in natural color with high gloss finish and chrome-plated hardware. Standard hardtail bridge has string-through-body construction and six adjustable saddles. Pickups in it`s front are passive and are arranged in H/H pattern. Neck is bolted to the body and it is topped with a 22-fret maple fingerboard. 12" radius, black dot inlays and synthetic bone nut complete the fingerboard.

I have owned this guitar for about 20years. It has been my stage guitar for all that time and it is great. I would recommend that you try it and see if you agree. Find my tour schedule at www.myspace.com/bodiedominguez . More music at www.soundclick.com/bodie

My 79 Sabre II was an NOS hanging in a local shop. I bought it in 1988 for $350. Although the guitar played beautifully and sounded great, the stock active pups had a tone that seemed to lack that "something". So, I replaced the pups with a Lace Hemi set and removed the active electronics. I wired the Hemis through the stock 3-way and a tone monster was born. Collectors will probably need to take a pill and lie down, but this guitar cannot be topped for sound. Love this guitar and will never sell or trade it for anything.
