Though divided into single and double-cut models, California series features additional two ways to separate the models. One is by fret count, as both 22 and 24-fret models are available, while the other is by tier. Tier 3 houses stripped-down, bare-bones rock`n`roll attitude, while the tier 6 offers all the pizzazz of fancy cosmetics. CT73 Kiesel California is a double-cut guitar, a member of the tier 3 and a seven-stringer (additional string brings 25-1/2" scale instead of the standard 25"). Its body is entirely made of mahogany, with several plain top options being available. The neck is also made of mahogany and it features an ebony fingerboard on top (rosewood, maple and several other options are also available). Kiesel K14 humbuckers lounge in the bridge and neck positions, boasting a supremely well balanced aggression and articulation. String-thru TOM bridge is the standard bridge option and Kiesel tuners are the only available machine heads.
