JZS-1 Metal Zebra is equipped with some of the most brutal pickups out there, Seymour Duncan active Blackouts. Both the bridge and neck position are occupied by them. For these pickups and this model JZS standard electronics setup is a bit altered, as there are no coil-splitting mini-switches, just a set of split volume and tone knobs. They are accompanied by a three-way toggle pickup switch. The body on this model is equipped with a double cutaway and it`s made of mahogany back with carved maple top. The bridge section features a tune-o-matic/stoptail combo with chrome plating. Hard maple neck features a set-in joint and it`s topped with an ebony fingerboard. 22 frets, wing position inlays and black TUSQ string nut wrap the fingerboard.
