Pro Series is being thoroughly reconstructed for the fall 2012, as eight novelties are being introduced. This is one of the largest updates of the season and probably the most important one for the metalheads around the world, as Jackson holds one of the most distinguished positions in metal guitar category. These eight models include two Dinkies, two Soloists, two King Vs and two RR Vs. RRTMG Pro Series Rhoads is Randy Rhoads style V guitar with solid body construction. Also, construction-wise, this model features neck-through-body style. Solid alder wings and maple middle section are covered with decorative quilted maple veneer. Silverburst and Black are color options available for this model and both come in gloss finish. This is the only one of eight novelties not to feature Floyd Rose tremolo bridge, instead Jackson installs tune-o-matic bridge with string-through-body construction. As the rest of the hardware is, this bridge is painted in black. Pickups are active humbuckers in both the bridge and neck positions and include EMG`s most legendary combo: 81 in the bridge with 85 in the neck. Master volume, master tone and three-way toggle switch comprise the controls section. Three-piece maple neck runs through the body and has speed contour. It`s finished in oil and topped with a 22-fret ebony fingerboard. 1-11/16 string nut, Alumiloid Piranha inlays and 12"-16" composite radius wrap the fingerboard. Jackson die-cast tuners are painted in black and arranged in in-line pattern on the headstock.
