Y2K is a model from the Steve Vai signature series. This solid-bodied double-cut is a special limited model made of basswood. Entire body is made of it and it`s flat on top with a see-through pickguard. Color scheme is a multi-color swirl with high gloss finish over it. This model comes with a 25-1/2" scale and wide 16" fingerboard radius, measures which became sort of a standard for shred-oriented guitars. Bridge section is equipped with a modern, reliable Edge trem. It is a double locking bridge with top-load construction. DiMarzio Breed pickups are installed in the front and feature a basic controls unit. Neck on this model is made of maple and it`s equipped with a JEM contour in the back. 24-fret rosewood fingerboard is featured on the top.
