There is no decorative top wood cover on SIR models, as is on the SIX models. On the top, SIR70FD features the standard Gibraltar six-saddle bridge in black variant and a combo of Dimarzio passive pickups. Tone Zone is installed in the bridge while the middle and neck positions feature the True Velvet and Air Norton pickups, respectively. master volume, master tone and a five-position blade switch complete the controls unit. Maple/bubinga neck is a three-piece neck with bolt-on joint and Wizard contour (standard for all six models introduced). On the top, there is a 24-fret fingerboard made of rosewood (SIZ models come with ebony fingerboards) with jumbo frets, 1.69" nut and 15/75" radius.
