RGIX28FEQM is one of three models Ibanez introduces into the Iron Label range this time. It comes with the same set of specs, as it`s six and seven-stringed RGIX counterparts. This includes a solid and double-cut body made of basswood back with quilt maple top, as well as the three-piece maple/bubinga neck. Body of this model is fashioned in classic RG manner, with flat top and well pronounced cutaway horns. Back of the body features a contour just behind the upper horn. Ibanez has restricted the color palette for RGIX28FEQM to Burgundy Wine. It`s finished in gloss and fit with gold-plated hardware. Bridge is a hardtail with string-through construction and gold plating. This eight-saddled Gibraltar bridge is fronted with a pack of EMG`s 808 humbuckers. These are 8-string versions of the iconic EMG 81 pickup. Master volume, master tone and a three-way toggle pickup switch complete the controls unit. Maple/bubinga neck is made of three pieces of wood and is fit with a super fast Wizard Nitro contour in the back. On the top, it sports the series standard 24-fret fingerboard made of ebony. It is bound and fit with jumbo-sized frets.
