RGA series contains extended range models made by Ibanez. This series is filled with 7 and 8-string beasts made for extreme metal. Also, it is one of the youngest RG sub-divisions. It`s flagship, the mighty RGA8 comes with a solid, double cutaway body made of mahogany. In black color, it features no top wood, but in Transparent Gray Burst it is equipped with quilted maple top. Top is carved and finished in satin. Bridge on this model is a fixed Edge III, better known as a double locking tremolo. Pickups on this eight-stringer are Ibanez active humbuckers with extended range. They are controlled with master volume and three-way toggle switch. Neck is made of five pieces of maple and walnut and topped with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard.
