RGA is a sub range to the legendary RG. It basically offers the standard RG models with carved tops. Though lot smaller in scope than the parent RG, RGA offers a staggering level of quality and magnificent versatility in it`s models. RGA42 is one of the intermediate options. It kicks off with a solid and double-cut body made entirely of mahogany. Top is carved, but there`s no separate top wood cover. Gibraltar Standard with six adjustable saddles is fit into the bridge section. In it`s front, Ibanez installs a set of LZ3 humbuckers. Standard controls include a master volume, master tone and a three-position blade switch. Three-piece maple neck is fit with a Wizard II profile and topped with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard.
