Japanese Custom models from Ibanez are made with the aim of being the best Japanese-made electrics ever. Among the finest, JC series easily qualifies and it is up to players and fans to decide the "best ever" title. 2012 brings us two models in this series, one six-stringer and one seven-stringer. JCRG20127 is the name of the seven-stringed model and it comes with pretty much the same list of specs as 20126. Body of JCRG20127 is solid, equipped with a double cutaway and bolt-on neck joint construction. Materials used for the production of JRG models` bodies are mahogany for the base and flamed maple for the top. Black Opal and Brown Garnet Shadow are color options available with this model and both come with gloss finish and white binding. There is no pickguard and top is traditionally flat. Bridge section is equipped with Ibanez Edge Zero II bridge made in seven-string variant. Pickups on this model are made by DiMarzio and are PAF-7 series pickups, to be exact. Master tone, master volume and three-position blade switch comprise the controls unit for this model. Neck is made of five pieces of maple and wenge and it`s equipped with Wizard JC contour. It`s bolted to the body and topped with a rosewood fingerboard. 24 jumbo frets, tree of life inlay, 16.90" radius and 1.89" wide locking nut wrap the fingerboard specs list. Hardware installed on this model sports cosmo black plating.
