GB40thII is one of two 40th anniversary signature models Ibanez has made for George Benson. It was introduced at 2017 NAMM, along with the rest of the electric and acoustic updates. Color palette of this marvelous jazz box is limited to Antique Amber (with multi-ply binding, gold-plated hardware and ornate inlays). GB40thII is a single-cut guitar with archtop construction, classic jazz-box styling and vintage tone. The body is made of flamed maple back & sides and spruce soundboard. It is paired with a set-in maple neck (three-piece neck with GB profile). 22-fret ebony fingerboard (with custom George Benson 40th Anniversary inlays, 1.69" bone/brass nut and 12" radius) tops the neck. Geroge Benson`s GB Special minibucker pickups, ebony bridge (with wooden tailpiece) and Gotoh tuners complete this gorgeous signature.
