FTM33 is probably the heaviest hitter among the Ibanez signature models introduced at 2017 NAMM. It was designed and made in cooperation and for Meshuggah`s Fredrik Thorendal. Simple design, rock-solid construction and insanely brutal tone are hallmarks of this hellraiser.
FTM33 starts off with a solid, Firebird-like Wing body (Ibanez`s name for this eccentric design), through-body neck and 22-fret fingerboard. The body is made of ash; it`s finished in Weathered Black and topped with a chromium pickguard. The neck is a seven-piece, made of maple and walnut and outfitted with KTS titanium reinforcement rods (standard feature in upper echelons of Ibanez catalog). 22-fret rosewood fingerboard tops the neck.
Lundgren`s passive/ceramic M8P humbuckers deliver what can safely be regarded as the most brutal tone since the Big Bang. Fixed Edge bridge and Ibanez tuners complete the specs list.
