Destroyer series is one of the oldest and best known lines in the electric guitar section of the Ibanez Guitars catalog. It`s models feature slightly modified Explorer contours for all the players who are searching for a high quality alternative to the original Gibson/Epiphone Explorers. For the fall of 2013, Destroyer series makes another comeback. this time, it`s with two models, the DT520 and DT520FM. Both of them feature the modern Explorer looks, set in necks and short 24-3/4" scales. DiMarzio supplies the pickups for these outstanding six-string axes. DT520FM comes with a solid and single-cut body made of mahogany back and flamed maple top. It is bound in creme and finished in gloss over the beautiful Cherry Sunburst color. Chrome-plated tight tune bridge is backed by a stoptail bar and fronted with a pair of passive DiMarzio humbuckers. Two volume knobs, one tone knob and three-way toggle switch comprise the controls. Neck on this model is made of a single piece of mahogany and it features the series standard Destroyer contour in the back. On the top, there is a standard 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with split abalone block inlays.
