Artcore Expressionist is a series of jazz guitars which proves that the sophistication of the guitar can be on a quite high level, even without the super high price tag. Revamped and reintroduced for this year`s NAMM, AM93 is a modern-vintage axe with both the, made especially for the solid guitar players and want to test a hollow-bodied six-stringer to see how would it feel. For 2015, AM93 is fit with a contoured body made of quilted maple and a three-piece mahogany/maple neck. Neck is set in and rocks a solid-friendly profile in the back. Two-piece bridge unit on the top is Ibanez`s own variant on the tune-o-matic/stoptail bar bridge unit. Pickups in front of them are Super `58 humbuckers with split volume and tone knobs and a three-way toggle pickup switch. Mahogany/maple neck is topped with a series standard 22-fret ebony fingerboard with white binding (to match the body). Gold-plated hardware (including the bridge, pickup covers and tuning machines) is plated in gold on this (as well as every previous) AM93 incarnation. With a super affordable price tag of around $750, AM93 is bound to become one of the pillars of the Hollow Body segment of the Ibanez catalog.
