Ibanez has revitalized the popular Artcore Expressionist series with a seductive jazz box which goes by the name of AFJ95B. It is both a spiritual and physical successor of the great AFJ95 introduced several years ago. Expressionist, as an upscale series with a not-so-crazy pricing policy, is the favorite line of many jazz players who prefer passive pickups on their jazz boxes. Thus, the new AFJ95B brings the best passive pickups Ibanez has to offer - the legendary Super 58s. These bad boys have graced the signature models of George Benson, Pat Metheny and John Scofield (and still do), and now grace the Artcore Expressionist models. AFJ95B is a fully hollow, single-cut guitar with deep contour and that sweet vintage Artcore styling. Back and sides of the body are made of flamed maple, while the sound board is made of top-class spruce. Set-in mahogany/maple neck rocks the classic Expressionist profile in the back and a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard on top (1.69" nut, 12" radius and block inlays). Above mentioned Super 58 humbuckers come with gold-plated covers and a standard Artcore controls unit - two volume knobs, two tone knobs and a three-way toggle switch.
