Newport is a long-running line of jazz guitars made by the exclusive Hamer brand. This series is made for the players who seek the ultimate guitar, an instrument to settle with for the rest of the career. Gorgeous double-cut body of this exclusive six-stringer is made of mahogany back and sides, with a carved spruce sound board on top. Instead of the stoptail bar, tune-o-matic bridge on this model is accompanied by a Bigsby vibrato tail piece. Both are, like the rest of the hardware, plated in chrome. Pair of active pickups is installed in the front and they come with a rather simple controls unit made up of a master volume, master tone and a three-way toggle pickup switch. Set in mahogany neck is topped with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard.
