XL-2P is an XL series guitar with a pair of P-90 pickups installed in the electronics department. It is made for players who love full 25-1/2" scaled guitars with soloist shaped bodies, but are more inclined towards blues and rock sound, than full-on metal shred. Controls unit is also stripped down and has bare necessities, such as master volume, master tone and three-way toggle pickup switch. Body of this model is made of basswood, as is on the rest of XL models. Flamed maple veneer is also there. Bridge section has a Full Contact Hagstrom tremolo system installed. Neck is made of maple and ti comes with a set-in joint. As for the fingerboard, Hagstrom utilizes series standard 24-fret fingerboard made of resinator.
