G6136T-LTD Limited Edition Falcon is one of countless Falcon guitars in Gretsch catalog. Along with Jet, Falcon is the most populous family in the entire Gretsch range. This particular beauty comes in a small, limited batch, so hurry up and get yours. G6136T-LTD15 Limited Edition Falcon comes with asingle-cut Falcon body made of laminated maple. A majority of Gretsch hollow-bodies are made in this fashion, for the laminated maple yields that classic Gretsch tone so many rockers rave about. Two bound "f" holes and an elevated pickguard adorn the creme-bound top. This Falcon is available solely in Rose Metallic with gloss finish and nickel hardware. The neck is also made of maple, which adds even more twang and brightness to the tone. There`s a classic U contour in the back of the neck and a standard 22-fret ebony fingerboard on its top (a vast majority of expensive Gretsch six-strings feature ebony fingerboards). The fingerboard is equipped with a 1-11/16" wide bone nut, thumbnail inlays and medium jumbo frets. Electronics section rocks a pair of Filtertron humbuckers (one in the bridge and the other in the neck position). They come with a usual Falcon controls unit, made up of a master volume, bridge volume, neck volume, 3-way tone switch and a three-way toggle pickup switch. Adjust-o-matic bridge is backed up with a vintage Bigsby vibrato bar for those cool surf vibrations. Grover`s die-cast Imperial tuning machines complete the specs list.
