Godin has for four decades produced exclusively right-handed guitars. With Session Left Handed and a few others, this tradition is changing. Winter NAMM Show 2012 brought several lefties from Godin, for the first time in history. From now on, left handed players who fancied Godins now have a choice between several models, and one of them is Session Left Handed. The body of this guitar is solid, has a double cutaway and is made of Canadian basswood. The top is flat and features no binding. White pickguard is standard on all color options. Blackburst SG, black HG, cream HG, rustic burst SG, vintage burst SG, lightburst HG are color options available. HG denotes a high gloss finish and SG stands for semi-gloss. The bridge is True Lock tremolo, Godin`s own trem variant with string-through construction. Pickups are placed in H/S/S pattern and they all come from Godin. Controls include master volume, master tone with a push-pull switch and five position blade switch. The neck is made of rock maple and has a bolt-on joint. This model comes with rosewood or maple fingerboard, depending on the player`s choice. Either way, it is equipped with 22 frets, dot position inlays, 12" radius and 1-11/16" wide string nut. Other features include 25-1/2" scale and chrome plated hardware.
