Back in the 1950s and 1960s it was customary for the Les Paul models to feature color options only on the top, while the rest of the body would be painted black, or dark brown. Les Paul '60s Tribute Darkback revives the 1960s and this special feature. On this model, Satin Honeyburst, Satin Goldtop, Satin Ebony and Satin Vintage Sunburst are all featured with dark backs. Body of this model is made of mahogany back and plain maple top. Top is carved and bound with satin binding. Classic bridge section includes a tune-o-matic bridge in the front and stoptail bar in the back. Pair of P-90 pickups with white plastic covers is featured in front of the bridge section. Set in mahogany neck is topped with a 22-fret fingerboard made of baked maple.
