1964 Firebird III is a replica of the Firebird, as it was made back almost half a century ago. Originally, it was made by Gibson, but now belongs to Gibson Custom`s Firebird series. It comes with all of the classic appointments, which made Firebird what it is today. Body is made of mahogany wings and it`s flat with no binding. Bridge section on this model is made up of a tune-o-matic bridge with maestro Vibrola tailpiece. This type of bridge is rare on today`s production models, but Firebird rocks it with style. A pair of Gibson`s minibuckers drives the sound of this fiery bird. Mahogany neck has a through-body joint and it`s topped with a standard 22-fret fingerboard made of rosewood.
