1959 Les Paul is one of the most iconic incarnations of Les Paul ever made. It is probably the most sought after and desired Les Paul today. Gibson`s Custom department makes it in bot fight and left hand variants. Body of this lefty is made of mahogany back and flamed maple top. Top is bound in creme binding and equipped with an elevated white pickguard. Tune-o-matic/stoptail bridge combo is installed on this one and it is one of LP`s hallmark features. In it`s front a pair of Burstbuckers is featured. Burstbucker 2 is in the bridge and Burstbucker 1 in the neck position. Mahogany neck is set-in and equipped with 1950s contour. On it`s top, Gibson installs a 222-fret fingerboard made of rosewood.
