Stvdio Esprit III Special is special in many ways, it has the largest tortoise shell pickguard ever, it covers the entire top of the body. And it also features "stealth" pickups hidden beneath the surface. Two P-90s, one in the middle and one in the neck position are placed underneath the surface and are invisible. They function as coils of one big humbucker. They are controlled through a separate three-way toggle switch. This Esprit comes with a solid korina body with raised center part. The bridge is a tune-o-matic with a stoptail bar and chrome plating. The neck is made also of korina and it is set-in. The fingerboard is made of rosewood and it is equipped with 22 frets and white dot position inlays. The MSRP is set around $5,000.
