Framus and rock `n` roll legend Earl Slick joined their forces to bring this magnificent guitar to life. Earl Slick Artist Series model is made in Korea and it is currently the only signature electric guitar made by Framus. This model was, along with other novelties, unveiled at the 2012 Frankfurt Musikmesse. It kicks off with a solid, double cutaway body made of swamp ash. The body is stylized after the Les Paul double cutaway design. It features creme binding and creme plastic pickguard. There are no top woods featured on this model. The bridge comes in two variants: the first is tune-o-matic with a stoptail and the second is Bigsby 500 vibrto bridge. Both are plated in chrome. Pickup area also gives a choice between DiMarzio PAF humbuckers and a pair of DiMarzio P-90s.In both cases the electronics are passive and feature master volume, master tone and three-way rotary pickup switch. In addition to this, PAF variant comes with push-pull switch system for coil splitting. The neck is made of maple and it features a bolt-in joint. The fingerboard is made of rosewood and it is equipped with 22 silver nickel frets and dot position inlays. 24-3/4" scale, chrome plated hardware and Framus vintage tuners complete the list of specs for Earl Slick Artist Series.
