Camarillo models are high profile soloist-shaped models. They come with top quality woods and appointments throughout their specs. This Camarillo Custom is available as both right and left handed, and comes with a solid, double cutaway body made of swamp ash. The top is carved, bound in creme binding and made of flamed maple. There are no pickguards installed on this model in favor of beautifully this finished top. The bridge section contains tune-o-matic with a stoptail bar and chrome plating. Pickups are active Seymour Duncan humbucker, SH-4 in the bridge and SH-1 in the neck position. They are controlled through master volume with push-pull and master tone. Pickup switch is a three-position blade. Ovangkol neck has a bolt-in joint and tigerstripe ebony fingerboard with 22 jumbo frets.

Excellent guitar with rich, full sound, easy to use, light weight, comfortable neck. Nothing bad to say. I bought with some perplexity but it become soon one of my favourites. It sounds very close to an SG or a Telecaster with the humbuckers but it is very much better than an SG or a Telecaster as ergonomics.
