X is the basic level of the standard section of Fernandes catalog, excluding the value and starter packs. The X is the base tier and these models compete with the likes of Ibanez GIO series and Jackson`s X models. All X models from Fernandes come with stripped down specs lists, bolted necks, flat bodies and passive Fernandes pickups. Vortex series X model comes with a standard Vortex-shaped body, which is made of alder (the standard wood for Vortex line is mahogany and alder is the budget-friendly substitute). It`s flat on top and comes only in Black and Snow White. Two-piece bridge unit is fronted with the X level`s standard passive Fernandes humbuckers. Maple is used for the neck and this neck is topped with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard.
