Standard Telecaster is the starting point of every Tele in current production. Each and every one is measured against the Standard to determine if it`s a luxurious, budget friendly or beginner`s model. Standard Tele is a single-cut guitar with a solid alder body. Alder is Fender`s most common body wood, something like mahogany for Gibson. On Standard`s top Fender installs a modern variant of the tray bridge. It now has six adjustable saddles and string-through-body construction. It is plated in chrome, like the rest of the hardware. Pickups on this model are Standard series Telecaster single coils with master volume, master tone and three-position blade switch. Maple neck is equipped with C contour and topped with a 21-fret fingerboard. Standard Tele comes with maple fingerboards only.
