As for the materials used, redwood replaces the alder and swamp ash which make up over 90% of all Telecaster bodies ever made. Redwood body of this exclusive Tele is a one-piece with flat top and back (traditional Tele design and construction). Natural color with combined gloss (top) and satin (back) finish is the only color option available. Traditional Tele pickguard in black is found on top. Maple neck is equipped with a D profile instead of the ubiquitous C and occasionally used "Soft V" options. This means a flatter, more comfortable neck and easier playing. 21-fret maple fingerboard with black dot inlays is installed on top. Compound 7.25"-12" radius (a rarely seen feat in Fender catalog) makes this model suitable for both the rhythm and lead duties. Pickups section comes with a Custom Shop Vintage Single Coil Tele pickup in the bridge position and Wide Range Special Humbucking pickup in the neck position. This combo grants the player an unprecedented range of tonal options, ranging from a `50s twang to the `70s hard rock growl and pretty much everything in between. Country, blues, rock, heavy rock, reggae, name it, this six-string devil has got it covered. Master volume, master tone and a four-position pickup switch make up a simple, yet very versatile controls unit. Vintage Tele bridge with three brass saddles and string-through-body construction is still the most popular bridge option in Tele family. Set of locking vintage tuners on the headstock completes the hardware section and wraps up the list of major specs.
