Limited Editions are, by their nature and definition, special models and series which display and incorporate some special, luxurious or otherwise non-standard features. With limiteds, the possibilities become unlimited and anything can happen. For 2015, Fender has introduced several limited edition six-stringers and Limited Edition Sandblasted Telecaster with Ash Body is one of them. It is one side of the Sandblasted pair with the other one being Limited Edition Sandblasted Stratocaster with Ash Body. This very special Tele comes with the beautifully executed sandblasted (satin urethane) finish over Crimson Red Transparent and Sapphire Blue Transparent color schemes (these two are also featured on the Sandblasted Strat). Solid and single-cut ash body features a flat top, classic Tele pickguard in black and combined nickel/chrome hardware. Especially for this model, Fender revives the vintage Tele bridge with three brass saddles. Single-coil pair in its front is borrowed from the American Standard series. Master volume, master tone and three-position blade switch form the standard Tele controls unit. Greasebucket switch which rolls off the highs without adding bass is Sandblasted Tele`s secret weapon which provides additional versatility. Maple neck is fit with a regular C profile in the back and a 22-fret maple fingerboard on the top. Jumbo-sized frets with dot inlays and 1.6875" (1-11/16") synthetic bone nut are featured on the fingerboard (there is no rosewood option available). To cap off the specs list, Fender installs a set of their own sealed tuners on the classic Tele headstock.
